Spring

I love Spring and how glorious the sunshine feels after the dark dreary days of Winter.  Even the rain feels different, some how more hopeful and full of life.

Spring brings with it so many welcome changes.  I feel an itching to make changes everywhere I look.  Clothing to sew, closets to clean, soil to till, needles to paint, salads to prepare... life is good.

Sick

I'm sick. Fever, aches, pains, congestion, coughing kind of sick. I don't like it.

I had so many plans for today. Fresh strawberry jam to preserve, books to read, quilts to piece and farms to visit. Instead, I'm sitting here feeling awful while The Statistician turns into super dad and takes the boys to the farm to watch sheep shearing action. I'm grateful to have such a good hubby.

He went out this morning and bought me lots of kinds of fluids and a pint of delicious Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Creme Brulee. Mmmmm.

I love my hubby.

Back from Vacation

It was absolutely fantastic to have a get away with my hubby, but it feels good to be home.  I've an itch to do some knitting.  I didn't bring any with me because I was too afraid that the airport would think the needles were deadly weapons and confiscate them.  :)

Laundry Mountain

Oh Mr. Plumber, please come and fix our washing machine today.  Boo is running out of pants and I fear that Little H is going to get swallowed by the laundry mountain.  Please hurry.

Things are getting out of hand

I've been a little obsessed with knitting lately. I've got at least two projects going at all times and I rarely go anywhere without my knitting bag. I knit a lot in the car when while I'm waiting for Miss M to get out of school. In the evenings I can often be found painting new sets of knitting needles. As I looked around my house yesterday, I had to laugh at some of the evidence I saw of my obsession.

A look at my dresser.
